Your Guide To the Best Sources of Organic and Natural Goods and Beauty Products In Denver
We all know Eminence is the Best Organic skin care line, but what you may not know is the best sourcing for other essentials like produce, meats, make up and other beauty products in Denver.
The is my own list of places I trust with good sourcing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. The only way to truly know what you are getting is by asking questions and doing your own research.
Keep in mind that what is sold is based on supply and demand. As long as consumers keep buying conventional, genetically modified produce, grain fed beef, factory meats, and chemically based, toxic beauty products, well then its going to continue to be on our grocery store shelves. It is only when the demand goes down that eventually those poorly sourced products and produce will disappear.
Skin care products are food for your skin. Just like food for our body, it should be well sourced and full of vitamins and minerals. If you read the back of most skincare products ingredients they are full of chemicals and preservatives that your skin doesn’t need, similar to processed foods. You don’t need a professional to tell you this. Just read the ingredient list and do a quick google search if you don’t know what an ingredient is.
You don’t always get what you paid for! There are a lot of products and foods on the market that are expensive. They come in pretty packaging, with cleaver marketing to deceive you into believing they are good. Most the time all you are paying for is that pretty packaging.
Cheap products can sometimes can still be good quality, but sometimes they are not good because in order to charge less you have to keep cost down. This means using chemicals and preservatives that are much cheaper to add to products and foods make them smell good, feel good and give them a longer shelf life.
Shopping for good sourced, healthy foods and products can take some research. Clients are always asking me where they can find good meat , and natural products in Denver. this is why I’ve made a list of a few places I like.
Aillea beauty boutique in Cherry Creek Mall 2nd floor next to Macys. They use to be on Larimer square but that location closed recently. They carry all natural and Organic, vegan friendly, cruelty free beauty products. I send clients there for makeup. ILIA makeup and RMS are my favorites. They also carry a good selection of natural deodorants, sun protection, body products, hair care, and some baby products. If its not convenient for you to go to Cherry creek Mall, they do have a website you can purchase products from. You could go once to the store to try out makeups and check out products. Once you know what you like you can then just purchase online at their website or the brand you like website.
Western Daughters Whole Animal Butcher- 100% grass fed, pasture- raised, local meat. They also carry some produce and grass fed dairy products. They are very knowledgable and can suggest how to cook different cuts of meat. They have a very generous points program that adds up quickly.

Natural Grocers- Because all their produce is Organic. Thats mainly why I go there. There’s no need to dig or search for Organic produce like at most other stores. The price is the same or cheaper than most other grocery stores. Grass fed butters and milk, and eggs less expensive than every where else. They also cater to people who want natural and organic, vegan friendly, gluten free choices. The one in Rino carries Organic wines. But my favorite Natural grocer is on Tennyson street.
Marckzyks on 17th and Clarkson- They are picky about their seafood sourcing. Its the only place I buy seafood. Only discrepancy is they do sometimes have farmed fish which they say they are careful about where they source, but I just don’t believe in farm fishing period. They mainly carry Neiman Ranch meats. The meat is grass fed with some grain. Good quality chicken. They carry D’artagann meats in the freezer. Best selection of Olive Oils and a lot of Italian sourced products. Not all their produce is organic but they do try to source locally. The family is really involved in the selection of their products and they know their sources well. They also have a good wine shop with great selections. For a small grocer they pack a lot of good stuff. Its a one stop shop. Some things can be pricey but a lot of things are a good deal. if you sign up on their website with your email address you can get sales -friends and family pricing on lots of things in store.
Raw Milk Shares - Jersy Milk $30 per month Machine harvest to ensure cleanliness. Raw milk is very nutritious and great for making raw butter. You can only purchase raw milk by buying a share. They also have meat that is grass fed with some grain. The ranch is in eastern Colorado.

Superfood Bar - on Platte and 15th street. They are the only ones in Ive found that have organic fruits and veggies sourced locally. Great smoothies and Organic cold press juices. They are vegan friendly.
Wine- I am a wine lover! Most of your small production wines from France and Italy are naturally organic. They just don’t label them organic. Getting wine as well as food certified organic is expensive. Look for small to meduim producers for better quality wines that most likely are naturally organic.
The best way to get wine is straight from the source. This can get expensive at around $150 euros for shipping. But you pay less for a good quality wine that would be more than double in price at your local wine shop and restaurant. I can give recommendations if asked.
Cast and Craft wine shop on Tejon street right before 38th carries a lot of wine producers that are not as known. Very good selection and price point; nice family owned and operate business.
Mondo Vino on 32nd in Highlands carries more known producers that are still small producers who make good quality wines. Only problem is that over all Mondo vino’s wines are pricier. Don’t go if your looking to spend under $20 for a bottle of Italian or French wine. The selection is limited.
Divino wine shop on broadway - The sommeliers choice for wines! They are kinda far down on Broadway so not very convenient. They have good selection and are very knowledgeable.
